Feeling the Love

There is a lot of love here at the family reunion.  Abe and his mother have a special relationship.  They seem to understand each other and are both incredibly thoughtful and considerate.  They are both planners and organizers.  They are the kind of people who make life pleasant for other people.
Georgie was feeling the love from his gorgeous older cousins!  Look at that grin, he knows a good thing when he sees it!
Ford (middle), Adam (left), and Clark.
Just get the heck out of the way.
A few of the tweenies.  Do their dads have any idea what is coming their way in a few short years?  Prepare ye.
The nightly mom walk.  Who cares that my calves are so sore I can barely walk up and down the stairs.  I am not missing out on prime visiting time with these women.  I can't get enough of them--  WE WALK!
Grandpa loves his lawn.  It is a seriously beautiful, healthy, well manicured lawn.  It's like high quality carpet with a super thick pad underneath.  No golf course has anything on Grandpa's lawn.
But he loves his grand-kids more.  He lets them go to town playing on that lawn.  He says, "That's what it's there for!"
The playroom is well equipped to handle many happy little people.  Grandma put the playroom right off the kitchen so the littles can be near their mamas.  Smart, nice Grandma.
The men folk did their D&D day today.  Please note there are no strange costumes or actual weapons!
Abe was the dungeon master.
And the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
Clark was the dungeon master for a younger group.  Like father, like son.

But it's not just Clark.  Here Elinor led her co-parts on a little adventure she planned.
I think the golden age for playing with cousins is the eight and nine year-olds.  They are completely independent, but without any of the drama that occasionally comes with the tweenies and teenies.
