The Christmas Recital 2013

Tuesday evening was the piano recital for my children and my other piano students.  I was very pleased with everyone's efforts and it was a lovely evening of Christmas music and the hymns of each student's choice.
Elinor played "Put Your Shoulder To the Wheel" and "I Saw Three Ships".
This was Cannon's first piano recital and he was so excited.  Throughout the day he kept saying to me, "You can wish me luck on my first recital!"
He played "I Hope They Call Me on a Mission" and "Deck the Halls".
Bethany played "Let Us All Press On" and "Over the River and Through the Woods".
Faith played "Keep the Commandments" and "God Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen."
One of my favorite moments at the recital was when Wyatt played the "Hallelujah Chorus" and we all stood up.  He did a really great job.
George (in orange) insisted on being in the picture and we are missing one student.  I feel very blessed to have such wonderful students to teach.  I appreciate their flexibility in working with my somewhat harried schedule.
We enjoy going out for ice cream once all the tension of the recital is over.
And as much as I do enjoy seeing and teaching everyone each week, I am ready for a break over the Christmas holidays.

It is wonderful that your kids do piano, but Cannon's FACE! I'm dying. He is such a cute curly-haired ham!
