Our day visit to "The Moyie" was definitely a highlight of the whole trip. This cabin built in the 1960's by Abe's dad and uncles and grandpa has been treasured by so many Foxes for a long time. It is a magical place out of time (no internet) right on the banks of the Moyie River in far North Idaho. It's a 5-10 minute drive to the Canadian border.
Skipping, or just chucking stones is always one of the first items of business.
Abe's cousin Nathan and his remarkable family (seriously the best people I know) were the last ones to visit the Moyie before us. They knew we were coming and they welcomed us with the best treasure hunt all around the property. They had drawn pictures of where the next clue would be found.

Going across the river was one of the next items of business anyway, so we all donned our bathing costumes and played in the river.

I was suckered into being the butt of a tic tock video. Tee hee hee-- I acted like I was hurt, but see, the thing is, when you have young adults and teenagers, you're just thrilled they want you around! I was honored.

It's not very long (unless you are on crutches), but it is one of my favorite hikes. So beautiful!

While the rest of the fam went swimming, Daniel and I just walked around the property so he could get a little happy-nappy. I was a happy-granny as well.
