One of the definite highlights of the summer was our stake's Book of Mormon Youth Conference. For three days we tent camped and watched several scenes from the Book of Mormon acted out by members of our stake. Abe played the role of Mormon and acted as a narrator throughout the conference. Cannon and I were one of three sets of mothers and stripling warriors.
Abe played Mormon when our stake did this six years ago. He loved it! And he did a fantastic job!
We had a slow start to the heat this summer and sometimes it was downright chilly at camp.
I really can't say enough good things about this Book of Mormon Youth Conference. It was everything I hoped it would be. Our ward has a rather small group of youth, but they are delightful and kind to one another. The stake leaders did a fantastic job and the weather was wonderful. Most especially the experiences and the spirit we felt brought us closer to Christ. I felt very fortunate to get to be a part of it
