Happy Birthday and Happy Mothers' Day to My Sister

My sister, Brigitta, is 2 1/2 years older than me and lives in a neighboring town.   I think she would agree that, minus a couple of particularly violent teenage clothing disputes, we've always gotten along pretty well.  She is a GOOD person.  She is kind and unselfish and she gets stuff done!  She has a lot on her plate and she takes care of people.  Her children are completely devoted to her.
Right around Valentines Day she turned 50 so we had a little family party to celebrate.  Today is Mothers' Day I would wish her a happy Mother's Day just because she is a great mother, but there is more to it.  Because our mom passed away when I was 23 and she was 25, we've had to fill the role of Mom for each other many times over the years.  Occasionally, we'll call each other and start the conversation with, "Okay, here is a question I would ask Mom,-- answer what Mom would say".  I think we're usually pretty spot on with our responses.  When we are in hard times and we need our mom, we call each other and we both understand what our role is.
So she is both a sister and a mom to me.
Since we've done waffles for Valentines a couple of times, I suppose it's a tradition.  Our own  little homegrown Waffle Love.

We played "Name That Tune" with love-themed pop songs.  Three points were possible with each song- One point for the first to correctly name the song, one point to name the artist, and one point if you can name a movie it was used in.  It was pretty fun and of course Abe won, then Brig, then Laura.
