January 2023 Part 1

Since being called as the Young Women's President late last year, my schedule is fuller than ever.  That can be challenging.  But I am also thoroughly enjoying getting to know the youth of the ward and being a part of some really fun activities with them. At the start of the year, we went to volunteer at the food bank.

Bethany (not Fox) had a very heated rice-bagging competition with Joey and Nathan.
We ladies gathered for a little Regency Tea Party and a game of Marrying Mr. Darcy.  Just for fun because we could:)

These are just about the best moments of family time-- reading aloud while the kids do Legos.
This was a visually stunning show.  WOW! So much so, that afterwards I suffered from visual vertigo-- basically visual overstimulation.
George made a Lego Alamo for his history reading project.
A lovely dinner out with Brandon and Elinor to his Aunt's restaurant-- Korean BBQ.
In January, Faith began her Certified Nursing Assistant class at MTECH.
I took a little happy nappy on the couch the other day.  Greta saw an opportunity for a photo shoot without my consent:)

That Weird Week of the Year

You know that weird week between Christmas and New Years?  It's so wonderful.  Here are a few pics of things that happened.  I can't give many specifics, as it is all a blur to me.
LOVED this day.

Family game time with Baden and Mary's family.
Cannon and Grover with their matching hairstyles.
Peter and Henry
Fox Sibs date night
The sister-in-laws like to stick close so we can hear each other.  When Fox brothers get together, they tend to get very loud.
Poor Abe got quite ill.  He has a severe case of sialadentis--- blocked, swollen saliva glands.  He was in bad shape:(
She's an angel.
We watched the University of Utah bowl game over at the Schramms.  The game did not go well for the Utes.  Sadness for them.

We have had a LOT of snow this year.  So much more than I remember in the last several years.
New Year's Eve was the lowest, low key we've every had.  It was quite lovely.
The awesome snow fort our neighbors across the street (the Hawkes) made.

Christmas Day 2022

Greta gave Faith this picture she drew.  At first glance, it might look inappropriate.  But then Greta explained-- she had drawn Faith's quad muscles!!! HA HA HA!!! I was dying laughing.

The aftermath.
Abe really appreciates a good kitchen appliance o Christmas morning.
Grover's first Christmas

The traditional Legos.
The biggest and best gift of all---- Elinor and Brandon announced they are expecting our first grandchild on August 1st!!!! Yay!!!

Why is this the most "Abe" picture ever?
We had a few little gifts for our missionaries.
Brandon was so patient doing science experiments with Peter.

And Elinor helped Greta with her painting project.
Abe finds some sort of resemblance.  He's not wrong.
