#8-- The Cornucopia's Return

In happy news, the cornucopias returned for a second year at the Riverton Cornhole Tournament!

In not so happy news, we did not represent ourselves well.  Sadness.  That was on me.  I stunk it up.

Fortunately, our season wasn't over with just one tournament.
Our next (and final) tournament of the season was my birthday cornhole tournament.  I know, I'm shameless.

I just think it's fun!

The finals came down to the Cornucopias versus the Cornholios (Faith's best friend's parents).
The defending champs successfully defended the title!!!!!
But I do understand that continually winning at my own birthday parties is in somewhat poor taste.  I fear my friends will stop coming to my party.  I'll have to consider if there will be a third year of the tournament.
Then again... it is great fun to win:)

#7-- Peter's 9th Birthday

Peter wanted a pool party for his 9th birthday celebration.

Kate is a true friend-- she gave Peter a BYU ball-cap even though she is a die-hard U of U fan.

#6-- George's 13th Birthday

George's birthday request was an overnight backpacking trip to Long Lake with his best buddies. Brody's dad, Jeff, was so good to come along as well.

George really got into fishing this summer.

A little cliff jumping
Kudos to Abe for making birthday celebrations happen this summer.
Brandon took this picture of George on one of their fishing outings.  I think it may be the most perfect picture of a 13 year old boy ever! George is definitely in his happy place.
One more-- just because George is awesome.

#5-- Greta's 7th Birthday

Greta turned seven while I was gone at Girl's Camp and Abe was a super dad in celebrating her big day with her.  May I just say how much I adore Greta's fashion choices!

Shave ice with her dad.

And shopping for a birthday present--  Dad style.
She had a little swim party with friends.

Aly gave Greta her own personal jar of Nutella.  A true friend, indeed.

#4- Singin' In the Rain

Cannon was cast in Singin' in the Rain with the Scera Shell Theater in Orem.  The show rehearsed most of the summer and ran from Aug. 4- 22.  It was a HUGE time commitment for both Cannon and Abe and I to drive him to and from Orem almost every day.  That being said, the show was spectacular and delightful and a complete joy to get to watch several times.  It was worth it! (even though we were all relieved when it was done)

You can see Cannon between the blue and gold dress.  This was the "Broadway Rhythm" big dance number.

Cannon's long-time contemporary teacher was the choreographer for the show, so of course, it was fabulous!
Cannon is the one in the yellow rain jacket, holding a black umbrella.  Ha ha!
2nd row, 2nd from the left.

Probably my favorite picture of Cannon and Faith.
Greta loved the show and came with Abe and/or me most nights .
Dippin' dots on opening night.

Bethany made it home from her mission just in time to catch a couple of shows.  One of the nights she posted this Be Real and her old Nauvoo YPM saw it and came and found us--
Dallin Salway!  We love him.  He has THE MOST BEAUTIFUL singing voice ever!
We loved having Aunt Misty join us.
