Summer's Top Ten Introduction

Friends,  I am behind on updating this blog.  

Because so much as happened this summer, and because I have not kept up with recording it here,  it feels like a daunting task to try to catch up.  And sometimes, when a daunting task is before me, I make my lot even tougher by not moving forward at all.  Such were my thoughts while I showered this morning.  And then I had the thought to do a "Summer's Top Ten" list.  That is to say, I will do ten manageable posts about why this summer was among our best.  What makes the list makes it, and what doesn't, doesn't.  Chronological order be darned!  And when I have completed these ten posts, I will move forward with life.  So let it be written, so let it be done!
