All Good Things

Abe's niece got married a couple weekends ago.  It was a happy, happy day.  Here are 6 of the 9 Fox siblings.  I'll be the first to tell you this group can get loud and unruly.  But they adore one another and love to be together and I am grateful to be a part of their wonderful family.
 Grace, Edra, Hallie, and Greta.
We arrived a little late to the reception and by the time we got there it was dancing time.  The reception was a lot of fun with a very fun vibe.
You know who else has a fun vibe?
We had the fun treat of getting to have Alexis crash with us for a few days while she waited for her apartment in Provo to be ready for her to move in.  We loved having her here.  And then Adam came and hung with us all for a couple evenings last week and it was marvelous.  These are Clark's peeps, so to have them here was like having a piece of Clark in the house again.  But we love them for themselves-- not just because they remind us of Clark.  They are full of energy and ideas and excitement and I think teenagers and young adults are awesome!
Toddlers rock my world as well.  I wasn't at home when this little incident occurred, but I think this little one got caught playing in mommy's makeup again.  There is no remorse, mind you.  She just got in "trouble"-- which means nothing at all.  As any kid in this house will attest, Greta never gets in trouble for anything.
"Mom!  You never get Greta in trouble.  You just tell her house cute she is and hug her!  How will she ever learn anything.  SHE IS SO SPOILED!"

Yeah... what of it.
While playing pickle ball for family home evening last week, we came upon the Schramms-- or rather they came upon us-- while on a family bike ride.  I just love them.  Next time we'll coordinate so we can all ride bikes or all play pickleball together.
This week the boys put on a play.  It was entitled Death Day.  Peter wrote and produced and directed the play and it lasted about 10 seconds.  In a nutshell, Peter was shot by a crazy assassin (aka Cannon) and George was bit by a snake a died.  The red bandana coming out of Peter's mouth is blood.  The red hat coming out of George's shirt is blood.  So there you have it.
I'm not positive, but I think kids can get suspended from school for writing and acting out scenes like this.
But they did make it nice for the two audience members.  It was a dinner theater.  I wasn't technically an audience member because I was responsible for turning off the lights when they died.  Which I failed to do because I was so moved by their death scenes.
Elinor in her "Old Lady" reading outfit-- all snuggly and ready for a day of reading.
Lucky.  Well, I don't know how lucky, considering she has already completed a 5 am swim workout by the time this was taken about 9 am.
My youngest cousin came home from her missions (one to Billings, MT and the other right afterwards in Nauvoo, IL as a Young Performing Missionary)  We loved going to her homecoming.  Bethany is interested in auditioning to be a YPM so we were picking Kara's brain for advice.
And I love more than anything getting to visit with my wise and loving aunts.
And in most exciting news... Cannon and George both auditioned and were cast in Ballet West's production of the Nutcracker!!! Cannon got the role of FRITZ!  Hooray!  George will be a party boy in the same cast-- the A Cast.    Pretty fun stuff!
The Brothers Fox getting pumped up before they went back for auditions.  Or maybe Cannon was giving advice to George on his first time auditioning.
I enjoyed seeing the boys from last year's cast getting reunited.  They were happy to see each other.
Also it's not that often that we get to see a group of ballet boys together.  Cannon is the only boy in his class, so he loves being in the nutcracker and being with other boys.   Not that he minds that much when he's the only boy.  If he really minded, he wouldn't be doing ballet.  Such is the life of a ballet boy.
