The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly

The Good:  Abe and I (and George) took Clark on his "Twelve Date" to the Olive Garden this evening.

The Bad:  Are all twelve year-olds moody?  Or I am doing something wrong?

The Ugly:  I have a rather nasty cold/sinus thing so I couldn't really taste my food.
The Good:  Clark is officially signed up for tackle football this fall.  Complete with helmet and pads and everything.

The Bad:  Tackle football is not cheap.

The Ugly:  How are we going to fit tackle football into our family schedule this fall?
The Good:  We had a little family dinner with Brig and Dev's family and Barbara and Allison last night.

The Bad:  This was the last family dinner we'll have with Brig and Dev for a while.

The Ugly:  MY SISTER IS MOVING TO TEXAS NEXT WEEK!
The Good:  Faith and Takara have scrumptious chocolate mouths.

The Bad:  It was almost bedtime when they ate all this chocolate.

The Ugly:  Takara is moving to Texas next week.
The Good:  He put together his costume himself.  He is part merman, part Indian warrior.

The Bad:  He is in time-out for excessive screaming and crying.

The Ugly:  He's having a hard time adjusting to home life after Grandma's house.
The Good:  It is so fun to be the little brother

The Bad:  Probably not so much fun for the older brother

The Ugly:  How can one missing Lego piece cause so much ill will between brothers?

We signed Josh up for football too. I still can't believe we spent that much money to have somebody try to tackle my son. Did you notice all the warnings on the helmet and the advertising for Salt Lake Sports Medicine? Jim and Josh are excited about it, I'm nervous.
