Gingerbread Building Competition Take One and Take Two

Clark and Bethany hosted a Christmas party that included the traditional Gingerbread building competition.  Several of Clark's friends came without their appropriate ugly Christmas sweaters.  Bethany fixed that by lending four of the five of them sweaters from her collection.

The theme was "Frosty the Snowman"  As impressive as their snowman was, the team only won the "Thanks for Playing" award.  It was suggested (multiple times) that they were robbed.

This team won "Best Use of Theme".  It was replete with a police car chasing Frosty through the town.

This team won the "Structurally Sound" award.  What you can't see well (probably for the best), is that it is a scene of a coup d'etat of Frosty taking over Santa's palace.  Santa is being hung by a licorice rope on the back side.  The award was given, along with advice for immediate counseling.

This team won the "Overall Winner" with their lovely train inspired by the train in the original Frosty cartoon movie.  As part of their presentation to the judge they showed a clip of the movie.  Well played.
Russ and Stephanie Hansen were our esteemed judges AND it was Stephanie's birthday, so, of course, they had to sing to her.
How could she judge properly without a taste test?  In the words of Faith, "What a jokester!"
White elephant gift exchange-- always very entertaining.
My personal favorite gift was a framed photo of Ben Grant's super creepy clown marionette doll that has made multiple appearances at Halloween parties over the years.  How disappointing that a Fox didn't end up with it.
Clark and Bethany's traditional karaoke of "Dominic the Donkey"
The next night Cannon hosted a gingerbread building competition.  The kids were great and while their creations weren't quite as intricate as the ones the night before, they were a lot of fun.  Their theme was "Santa Baby".
