Day Two-- Hiking, Swimming, and Poker

Day 2 started out early for the birthday boy, George,  who went with Abe to the DMV to get his driver's license.
Thursday morning we headed out for a Cecret Lake hike. It is crazy to think that these are soon to be the only three kiddos left at home.

It was so beautiful.  It is nearing the end of September when I am finally getting around to writing this post.  It was a really good, busy, fun summer, but I regret that I didn't spend more time outdoors in nature.  It's good for the soul and I want to do more adventuring next summer.
This was a funny moment with George when we informed him that the bum of his pants was very dirty from when he had taken a little spill off his mini-bike the previous day.  He graced us with a little dance.

George ate to his heart's (and stomach's) content.  Actually, I think he ate way past content.
This was kind of a fun thing-- we rented a private pool through an app called "Swimbly".  We find it is generally best that we not all appear in public together-- mostly because we're loud and obnoxious.  So, I looked into renting a pool and was happy to find it cost less than I would have expected.

That night was poker night.
Disclaimer:  This was two months before Elder Christofferson's gambling talk:)  Hee hee!  (It was really fun!)

After a particularly painful loss.
This shirt was a prize that Greta won.  But truth be told, I don't remember what the great honor was for, or which couple provided the prize.  Nevertheless, it makes a good sleeping shirt and Greta loves it.
