Back to School

We definitely had a slow start to the school year because of Singin' in the Rain and Bethany coming home, and helping Elinor with baby Daniel.  But we're finally in full swing and so far, so good.

First day of school/seminary-- Faith is a senior and Cannon is a sophomore.

All the kids are doing more online school than we've done in years past.  So far, it seems to be working well.
As always, the best part of home school is the time we spend reading good books together.  Frankenstein has been a hit.
Game night-- Secret Hitler.  The Hitler finger mustaches are so funny and so wrong at the same time.
Faith is taking a photography class-- we could use a good photographer in the family.
Bethany is working two jobs, one as an assistant hygienist at a dental office and the other in the gift shop at the pharmacy where Elinor was working before having Daniel.
Ready for another school day.
In our preparations for our family Halloween costumes, we often frequent the local thrift stores, where we find little gems like this.  Greta was understandably thrilled.
We love when Elinor comes up with Daniel during the day.
George is becoming quite the outdoorsman-- or at least quite the fisherman.
We've had a couple missionary farewells in our ward recently.  These four have been hanging out for a lot of years and it will be so wonderful when it is their turn to go.
And we're back to our Friday Temple and a Cookie outings.  It was tough with summer schedules, but fall is my friend
Cannon has had his learner's permit for several months, but just recently has decided he actually wants to learn.  I will say, he is a pretty good driver thus far.
Peter has taken to putting on quite lengthy theatrical productions as his project for history books he reads.  Greta is his loyal assistant in all the productions.
This one began with an average American trying to withdraw his money from the bank at the start of the Great Depression.
But then he moved onto WWII and Hitler...
... and finally it ended in Hitler's death.
So it would seem there is a real interest in Hitler in our house these days.  When we got our kitten, someone suggested we name it "Kittler".  I had to draw the line.
Another day it was a show about the life of Steve Irwin, AKA the Croc Hunter.

This was all about Alexander the Great.
Greta was the horse
Don't worry, no assistants were harmed in the making of this history report.

LOVE
