Here is a picture overload from Peter and Greta's first ever dance recital at Wasatch Arts Center. We love this studio-- such a great feel, great costumes, great teachers, great choreography, great kids. Peter and Greta take a ballet/tap combo class together. George takes lots of ballet classes at Ballet West Academy, but he does tap and hip hop at Wasatch. If the classes worked with Cannon's ballet schedule, he would take tap and hip hope there as well. This is the studio that sponsors/runs the Oquirrh Mountain Ballet Nutcraker the boys are doing next weekend.
Greta (age 3) in her first dance recital.
Peter was not happy about it sparkly shirt at first. But the more he wore it, the more he liked it. It's pretty much his favorite shirt now.
I do love that they got to do this class together.
Greta is just to the right of Peter.
This is the video from the dress rehearsal. Note that I forgot their ballet shoes for the dress rehearsal. Oops. Also, notice that Peter insisted on standing in 4th position during his dance. The teacher didn't tell him to do that. He just decided it would be better. Welcome to the Ballet Boy Club, Peter. You're a natural!
Here is the video of their dress rehearsal yesterday. George is in tallest in the middle and Peter is on the far left.
A picture from the recital. That is George with his leg up.
Peter surprised me with his memory of the choreography.
I am completely in love with watching George tap. He's the only boy in the brown pants. This is also his dress rehearsal.
The boy has rhythm!
I love it all!
