Parade After Party

We love the parade so much-- especially the time with friends and family and neighbors.  We all gather and have a great time and then it ends and we go back to our own houses.  Sadness!  I'm not done playing yet!  Our solution was to host a post parade hotdog roast and potluck hangout.  It worked out exactly how I hoped.

It was a perfect summer evening.
Jon and Misty's 9-square set was a hit!

Ah! The lovely Chase sisters
We provided hot dogs and buns and everyone brought side dishes and it turned out to be a delicious feast with no shortage of watermelon-- which is the most important part of a meal in the summer.

John Hancock made an appearance at the festivities!  My dad plays the role of various founding fathers for Patriot Camps around the the Wasatch Front.
The Snow clan-- AKA the biggest BYU fans in the neighborhood.
Matthew, Clark, and Thano
Corrine and Jakob

Nice photobomb from Aliyah

Look at that beautiful sunset!--- Between that and the wonderful people, this evening filled up my soul.

This doesn't look dangerous at all.  Thankfully there were no injuries, but hopefully some good core memories.
