They are a hectic, and absolutely nothing gets done around the house, but I love water polo tournament weekends! The games are so much fun to watch.
Elinor's JV/9th grade and younger team came in fourth place in the state tournament last weekend.
Elinor scored her second goal of the season!! That's pretty fun stuff. Now you may think, "Fourth place isn't really that great". But you must understand, Foxes have a VERY BAD track record for team sports. They actually won a lot of games!!! It was a miracle of sorts.
Since they played in the bronze medal match they announced each players name and number.
Doing fingernail checks before the game.
Joining the swim team and playing water polo are two of the best things that have ever happened to Elinor.
Last night was her water polo team banquet.
Here are several of the very entertaining JV girls.
In a very happy surprise, Elinor was awarded rookie of the year! She was pretty happy and we were very proud of her!
Her name was misspelled and they forgot the word "higher" on the 5th line. But we will happily forgive those little errors for the wonderful things her team captains said about her:)
We paid for our Herriman Aquatics water polo shirts, so now she has to play next year. I'm pretty sure that was already a given.
She spent several hours working on her "water polo ball" cookies for the banquet. She said she used all of the skills she has acquired over her whole life to make and decorate these cookies. I believe it.
Not only were they adorable, they were seriously tasty cookies. If her career as a professional water polo player doesn't work out, maybe she can open a bakery!
I mean seriously, Elinor, save some talent for the rest of us!
