We Need a Little MORE Christmas

We put our Christmas trees up early this year-- about a week and a half earlier than the usual day after Thanksgiving tradition.  You know what?  It's 2020 and I think we need a lot more Christmas than usual!  We've been blasting the Christmas tunes and Christmas movies as well.

Peter got to place the start on top of the tree this year.  There is no real method to how we decide who gets the place the start.  It may be that the squeaky wheel gets the grease.  If that is the case, I suspect Peter will have a lot of opportunities to place the star.
Faith and Greta worked on the living room tree.  Our house isn't that big-- we probably don't need two trees, but the more Christmas the merrier!
Abe's favorite (by a lot) Christmas album is The Osmond Family Christmas.  He is the ridiculously proud owner of his very own original vinyl copy.  Sadly, until this year we haven't had a record player so he has been reduced to a CD of the vinyl he paid to have had made several years back.
Wait?!  Couldn't he just buy a CD of it or stream the album?  Well, no, he couldn't.  Because, you see, the CD version left off "Sleigh Ride" plus 7 other CLASSIC numbers that were on the original vinyl.  INCONCEIVABLE!  BLASHPHEMUS!
I have heard this tale of woe every single year of our marriage.
Thankfully, Faith purchased a record player this year to listen to Frank Sinatra vinyls.  She is an old soul that way.  Abe was ecstatic to be able to listen to his beloved Osmond Family Christmas the way it was meant to be.
And now we listen to it every day at lunchtime on the vinyl.  Happy day.  Merry Christmas.
This nutcracker has been around for a long time.  I paid $10 for it roughly 15 years ago.  It has been well-loved and has several broken/missing parts.  But the "cracker" feature is still functional and Greta spent a while grinding chow mein noodles to dust.  How festive, right?
Our main tree's style can best be described as "Christmas threw up on it."  We love it:)
