All four kids were in the ballet portion of the "Ballet to Broadway" show, while only Cannon and George were in the contemporary Broadway part. I don't think I've ever enjoyed a dance performance more than this show.
George's Ballet 5 class did "Hard Knock Life". The whole studio worked really hard to improve the performance quality and they knocked it out of the park! Especially this class. Those were some angry orphans.George and the other boy in his class performed a ballet variation-- just the two of them and they did so well.We didn't buy this picture-- thus the writing across the middle, but I love it. Three of the four boys at the studio.
Cannon's ballet variation was wonderful. It is so thrilling to watch him grow as a dancer.Beautiful! One of their Broadway numbers was "Revolting Children" from Matilda. Such high energy-- I was so happy the photographer captured this shot!
This moment. I never want to forget this moment. Cannon was "Mr. Cellophane" from Chicago.Jazz hands! We got to watch the show both nights, but it was nowhere near enough.I am in love with this picture. This is Ballet 4, 5, 6, and the Junior and Senior Companies. Next year George moves up to Ballet 6 and Cannon moves up to Senior Company-- more hours in the studio for them both! It's a good home away from home.Lindsay Folkman is the contemporary teacher and choreographer at Central Utah Ballet. She is a genius! She's also been awarded The Best of State choreographer for several years running.
