Welcome to the Fox Family Reunion Part 3

Amy's activity for the family was everyone writing a post card to Grandma Fox for her upcoming 75th birthday.  Then she mailed them each individually so Grandma got a lot of fun mail for her birthday!
The newlyweds-- Adam and Sami.
Blow pong-- not exactly COVID friendly, but this group of teens didn't seem to mind.

One of our favorite Fox Family Reunion activities is renting out a local pool for a private Fox Family swim party.  Gooding, Idaho's pool did not disappoint!
The four stack!  Phil, Everett, Simon, Peter.
They love each other so much.
Nice back flip form, Faith!

George was so brave and got his front flip and back flip too.

Now I don't want to brag or anything (read: I'm totally about to brag)-- but our Fox family represented very well in the annual swim races-- Faith won for 13-15, Elinor won for 16-18, Clark won for young adults, and Abe won for the brothers race.  I however, did not win for the women.  And, in fact, I was soundly beat by a pregnant lady.  So yeah.  That happened.
In the shorter distance race of all the champions Clark won.  But in a longer distance with Elinor, Clark, and Gooding Idaho's fastest lifeguard.... the lifeguard won.  Elinor did, however, beat Clark.
Just before we left the pool-- all the lifeguards challenged Elinor to a race!
Elinor was so awesome-- she represented us very well!  When the manager told Elinor the lifeguard boys wanted to challenge her, we asked what was on the line if Elinor won.  Elinor responded, "Do I get the phone number of the cutest lifeguard?"  We sort think one boy threw the race so Elinor would win:)  And then funny enough, on a late night run to the Maverik-- the girl met back up with said lifeguards.  Small world in a small town.
In the end, Uncle Micheal went to back for Elinor and she got a candy bar reward.  Which Elinor then gave to Abe since Hershey's with Almonds are his favorite.  What a good daughter she is.
One of my favorite things about the Fox family is how they cheer and celebrate each other.  Every kid (or adult) that went off the diving board, every race, every trick-- was met with encouragement and cheering.  So much fun and love and support.  So safe to be yourself and try new things.
Katie organized a super fun evening of bunco.  The prizes were all fox themed.  How convenient that foxes are so "in" right now.  I'd never played bunco before.  And since no one ever got a bunco at any table I sat at, I declared buncos are a myth!
My cute niece, Kristen, represented my thoughts well.
I think this is the activity that will be most remembered by the children.

The tweens found a giant stack of foldable cot/mattresses and they set up an arena for pillow cage fighting among the cousins.
And not only did no parent kibosh the event, rather most of the parents were there cheering it on.  To add to the excitement, Julia's fiance Sheamus played wild rock music on Cannon's electric guitar-- giving it a real fight night atmosphere.
Cannon was the announcer-- he was fantastic.  He's been since quoted, "THE TENSION IS GINORMOUS!"  Ha ha ha.
But my favorite was when Amy said, "This is not okay for chickens, but it's totally okay for kids!"
In a moment of good judgement, it was decided that the "All Brawl" was a bad idea and it must be kept to two competitors at a time.  I mean, safety first, right?
