Thanksgiving 2020

It feels redundant to keep saying how COVID makes everything different.  Yet, it's true, COVID has changed how we do so much this year.  And let's be real, 2021 isn't look like it's going to be a whole different for at least the first half.  Hopefully, just the first half.  But whatever may come, we all just keep trying to make the best of the situation we find ourselves in.  We had planned to go to Stuart and Tiffany's house in Orem for Thanksgiving, but earlier in the week they were exposed to the 'Rona and we all deemed it best to avoid the risk.

So we hosted Adam (cousin) and Sammi (his wife) and Jacob and Jeremiah (friends of Bethany's) and of course, Clark and Alexa.  Lots of young adults makes for a very lively and fun grouping.
We had classic "kid table".
Perhaps my favorite thing in the whole world is when a group of people I love and enjoy sit around a room together and share their company and talents.  Supporting and cheering for one another in whatever they have to give.  It's so bonding and enjoyable.
Jeremiah can sing and I mean S.I.N.G.  I love his voice so much.  I told him he had to sing for his supper:)  Here's the linky-link if you want to have a listen.
Sammi is a brilliant musician who sang and played an original composition.  Amazing!
Adam thoroughly entertained us with "Mack the Knife" by Bobby Darrin.  Adam is awesome!
Peter contributed a Tae Kwon Do form.  I love the support for him from all the big people.
George played the bass part to "That's What Christmas Means to Me".  He rocked it.
We moved downstairs so Greta could show us her gymnastics tricks.
And then it was time for karaoke!!!!
Bethany, Jacob, and Jeremiah
I adore Greta in this picture!  And of course Clark and Adam are great fun.
All of my Foxy Ladies.
I just love them.  And I like how they are accidentally, but stylishly coordinated.
Dolly Parton's "Nine to Five"-- Faith's very most favorite song-- had to be part of the line up.
And as horrific as it was, Abe and I singing "Endless Love" was requested and granted.  There is video somewhere, but I will make no efforts to locate it or share it here.

In the afternoon, we had Baden and Mary's family and Chris and Marj over for pie and cousin time.
Henry, Will, Cannon and Kirkham.
We played our long-time favorite family game-- The Great Dalmuti.  Marjorie's husband Chris, is really channeling is inner and outer Santa Claus this year:)
There was much discussion of and singing along to The Osmond Family Christmas.  Abe is not alone in his adoration of and enthusiasm for this album.  A table full of kids and adults belting out "Sleigh Ride" was great fun.
It ended up being a truly delightful day filled with love and laughter and gratitude.  And when it was all said and done, Elinor enjoyed a nice long, cold walk around the neighborhood.  It doesn't get much better than that.
